School 2.0 is another way of looking at the future of education. With the use of technology our world has become much more complex and connected, leaving our children having to do more thinking for themselves. Schools and teachers have become more collaborative, teaching children to think outside of the box in order to get ahead in society. To allow these children to compete in the national market our schools will have to embrace and incorporate Web 2.0 into the classroom. Most students are familiar with the Internet and it has become second nature in their everyday lives, so the use of these web tools should be no problem. However, the one problem I see for the future of our schools is the funding to make it happen. Not all schools and districts are made equal, just as not all students and their Internet accessibility are either. As a teacher I may not get a classroom of students that are fortunate enough to have home computers, but as technology increases, it will play a major role on how students are taught.
