Creative commons is a wonderful way to collaborate with people all over the world. This site allows you to let others use your original work as their own, not just to copy, but to also modify and meet their specific needs. This way no one has to ask permission for using your image, song, or idea as their own. Collaboration opens up the possibilities for expansion and creative freedom. This is a great website to use for future use in the classroom because students can find images of their own that are not copyrighted without trouble. Teachers can use this tool for troubles with copyrights as well. I found this exercise extremely helpful for finding images for this blog. In my normal practices I always just copied and pasted from google images, but creative commons showed me a better way to go about finding appropriate material for my classroom.
